Ripple USD
Overview
RLUSD is Ripple’s NYDFS-regulated dollar stablecoin, designed to slot into Ripple’s existing cross-border payment rails. It exists natively on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum (18 decimals on the ERC-20 side).
Mastercard’s inclusion of RLUSD — and of XRPL among its supported settlement chains — is the clearest sign that network settlement will be multi-chain rather than standardized on one L1.
Card-network settlement support
Added in Mastercard’s June 2026 expansion, which also made the XRP Ledger a settlement chain. Not in Visa’s settlement set.
Regulation & reserves
US dollar deposits, short-dated US Treasuries and cash equivalents; monthly attestations.

Always verify contract addresses against the issuer’s official documentation before use — lookalike tokens with identical symbols are a common scam vector.
